CRICKET CANADA SUMMER FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED
|
Toronto, September 3, 2010
Cricket Canada has partnered with the West Indies Cricket Board and Cricket Bermuda
to bring the Cricket Canada Summer Festival to Mississauga, Ontario this month.
The Festival runs from Wednesday September 8, 2010 to Friday September 17, 2010 at Malton Cricket Club. Canada, West Indies High Performance Centre Squad, and Bermuda will clash in T20 and 50 over cricket action. See attached for detailed schedule. Please come out to enjoy the games and cheer for team Canada.

T&DCA wins inaugural Norman Jackson Cup
|
CONGRATULATIONS TDCA! for winning the inaugural Norman Jackson Memorial 2010 Cup.
Highlights of the Final Match:
It was a beautiful bright and perfect day for cricket. BEDCL won the toss and elected to bat first. TDCA started with the fast and furious Khyber Khan and T. Benjamin. Between them they gave away in the first ten overs only 20 runs. Latter the TDCA medium pacers and spinners took the control of the game and bowled out BEDCL in 41.2 overs. BEDCL gave a target of 128 to TDCA to win the match. TDCA chased the target quite easly in 29 overs. Thanks to Durand Suraine for his excellent batting. He scored 64 runs and took 2 wickets and was declared Man of the Match.

Start times for 4th Division
|
Dear Members - T&DCA board has reviewed the start times for 4th division in its meeting on Aug 19. With effect from Saturday - Aug 21st, teams playing evening games in 4th Div are encouraged to arrive at the ground early (by 1:20pm). If the morning game finishes early and the ground becomes available, toss can take place as early as 1:40pm. Games are permitted to start as early as 2:00pm.
This is to help alleviate any sunlight concerns in the late evening hours. Morning 4th division games will still start at their usual time of 9:00am. Earlier start is not possible due to dew factor in the early morning hours.
For evening games, if the ground becomes available earlier the following game times are permitted

Team batting first: 2:00pm ? 4:40pm 160 minutes
Interval: 4:40pm ? 4:55pm 15 minutes
Team batting second: 4:55pm ? 7:35pm 160 minutes

Please note any teams not being able to field players for their games must inform the league Scheduler and Secretary latest by 6pm on Wednesday prior to the scheduled game. Failure to do so will result in a default and a fine of $250 per default.

Outstanding Financial Dues Notice
|
Attention All member Clubs:
This is a reminder that the third and final instalment of your fees is due on August 1, 2010. The Board has decided to give an extension till August 16, after this date any club with an outstanding balance will be deducted 2 points per game thereafter.
Furthermore, teams with an outstanding balance will not be permitted to participate in the playoffs. This ruling also applies to Junior Teams. Please note that no further notice will be issued, and any points deducted will not be given back. Please feel free to contact our Treasurer if you require a statement, or need to know your outstanding balance.

Photo ID requirements Update

Dear Members - Please note Photo Id's will need to be requested at the time of the toss. Any player with missing photo id has until the end of the game to produce his/her photo ID after which his team will forfeit the game if he fails to provide it. No game is to stop and play must go on while a player is trying to locate his/her missing ID. Substitute player will NOT be allowed in place of a player who may have to leave the field of play in order to get his/her ID.

A special thanks to all clubs who have remitted their fees up to and including May 31st, 2010. To those clubs who have not brought their dues up-to-date, It will be greatly appreciated if I can have your dues before June 15th, 2010.

2) Valid Passport (any country)
3) Canadian Citizenship card
4) Valid Ontario health card (must have photo)
5) Valid Canadian permanent resident card
6) T&D league issued Photo ID

Dear Members - Please be reminded that your game stats must be entered latest by midnight on Wednesday following the weekend games were played. Failure to do so will result in deduction of two points from the defaulting team.
