2009-06-19 Rescheduling of Junior Games
All Coaches and Junior Coordinators
Please note that effective immediately, no junior games will be rescheduled! We do not have free dates on grounds to reschedule games and are unable to entertain such requests. Private arrangements between clubs would no longer be honoured. All games must be played as scheduled or would be considered abandoned or defaulted.

All previously submitted requests and or private arrangements that were approved would be honoured. No new requests or private arrangements, please.

Note that forecast for rain is NOT a valid reason for rescheduling a game. Teams are required to show up at the ground for ALL games. Failure to do so would result in a defaulted game. Games that are rained out, will be recorded as a rained out game with teams getting 3 points each.

regards
Ragoobir Henry
Vice President / Junior Coordinator
2009-06-10 Umpires in Junior Tournament
As agreed to in the last Junior Cricket Committee meeting, which included coordinators and coaches from the clubs, umpires are now being scheduled for U15, U17 and U19 games. One umpires will be scheduled per game. No umpires will be scheduled for U13 games. In the event no umpires show up, coaches are required to make arrangements and play the games as per normal rules.

The umpires fee is $50 which is to be shared equally by both teams. For rain outs where the game did not start the fee is $30. For rain outs where the game started the full fee applies. Defaulted games will be billed to the offending team. Any team that does not pay the umpire will be billed by the league in addition to a penalty charge.

2009-05-13 T&DCA Development Team
The T&DCA Board is proud to annouce the continuation of the Junior Development Team which was started last year. This year the team is being converted to a Colts team. The focus would continue to be on the Under 19 players, however, we now have the option of including a limited number of Under 21 players as the need may arise. The standard league rules and format for colts teams now applies. The team will continue to play in First Division. The format and structure is being tweaked somewhat to provide greater consistency and focus on player development. The plan is to have a roster of 20 players, 12 of whom are required to be dedicated or full-time to the program. The others could be part-time. Full-time players are required to play for this team as priority and only play for their clubs when not playing for the Colts Team. Part-time players can continue to play for their club as priority then play for the Colts team on their off days. Priority for selection will be given to the full-time players. High performance coaching will continue to be provided to all players.

All players that are interested in participating in the program are invited to attend the weekly practice sessions on Fridays from 6:00pm in Ross Lord Park. The first practice session is scheduled for Friday 15th May.

This weekend we have a double header scheduled on May 16th and 17th, so do contact us with your availability.
