20/20 OVER COMPETITION PLAYING RULES

The rules and structure of the Twenty 20 matches for the Percy Cummins Memorial Trophy are as follows: Duration One innings per side, each innings limited to a maximum of 20 overs
Time Each innings is limited to a maximum of 1 hour and 20 minutes or 4 minutes for every over bowled.
Result Each side must have faced (or had the opportunity to face) 10 overs in order to constitute a match.
Toss There will be no claiming of toss. The toss must be spun 15 minutes prior to the commencement of play.
Number of Overs per bowler Each bowler may bowl a maximum of 4 overs. In a delayed on interrupted match no bowler may bowl more than 1/5 of the total overs allowed unless, such a number had been exceeded prior to the interruption.
Bowler run-up Each bowler is allowed a maximum of 10 yards (30 feet) run up. The run-up is to be marked by the home team and verified by the umpire(s) starting from the popping crease and extending 10 yards.
Free hit after a foot fault no ball The delivery following a no ball called for a foot fault shall be a free hit for whichever batsman is facing it. If the delivery for the free hit is not a legitimate delivery (any kind of no ball or wide ball) then the next the next delivery will become a free hit. For any free hit the striker can be dismissed only under the circumstances that apply for a no ball even if the delivery for a free hit is called a wide ball.
Hours of Play Match (1) commences at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Match (2) commences at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
Intervals between Innings The schedule interval is 20 minutes. If the innings of the team batting first is completed prior to the scheduled time for the interval, the interval shall take place immediately. In circumstances where the side bowling first has not completed the allotted number of overs by the schedule or re-schedule time for the first innings, the umpire(s) shall reduce the length of the interval. The minimum time for the interval is 15 minutes.
Timed Out The incoming batsman must be in position to take guard or for his partner to be ready to receive the next ball (or for his partner to receive the next ball) within one minute 30 seconds of the fall of the previous wicket.
Short Pitched Bowling As in other one-day competitions, one short-pitched ball is allowed per over.
Wide Balls This will be marked by the home team, 2 feet from the off stump on either side of the wickets to accommodate right hand batsman and left hand batsman. Any ball pitched and not touching the batsman?s pad or person down the leg side will be a wide ball.
Balls New cricket balls are to be used for matches. However, a used cricket ball with a relatively good shine can be used providing that the umpire(s) and captain(s) agree on the condition of the ball.

(A) After the final list has been submitted to the Registrar prior to the start of the season, any additional player(s) for registration during the season must be done on line through the S.C.A. website by the club no later than Wednesday 9:00 p.m before the day of match in which the player(s) would take part, the Registrar will be notified by the website of the new registration, the date and time will be stamped on the registration, he will then activate the player(s). If all of the above conditions are met only then the player(s) is eligible to play. (B) Any club playing a player not duly registered shall automatically be considered to have lost the game in which the said player participated, playing an unregistered player will result in a lost of three (3) demerit points. Repeat offenders shall be suspended from participation in any SCA competition for a maximum of 3 games. In addition, a fine not exceeding $100 may be instituted along with the lost of the three (3) demerit points.
20/20 OVER QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Qualification for players in the 2008 20-Overs competition.
The Qualification list for the 2007 playoffs will be in effect. Teams that did not qualify for the playoffs last year should ensure all players in their 20-Overs team this year must have played at least five(5) games during the 2007 regular season 50-Overs competition.
Any player switching teams this year must have played in at least five (5) games during the 2007 50-Overs competition.
Any player that qualifies as a junior must have played at least four (4) games last year.
For New Teams.
New teams are exempted from the above rules. However if players participating in the first round does not play at least four(4) games during the subsequent regular 40-overs competition, the offending player(s) will be barred from any further participation in the competition. Any previous game(s) by the team which the said player(s) had participated in will be considered a lost game.
Also, any bonus point(s) will also be forfeited.
Proof of qualification is to be provided by the team(s) of any player(s) in question. Failure to do so will lead to the disqualification of the player(s) and a penalty of any point(s) acquired by the offending team shall be forfeited.
The SCA Identification rule is in effect. (See the 40-Overs playing rules)
Uniforms
All clothing shall be predominantly white. Coloured collars, Sleeves, Team sponsors Logos and Players? Names can be displayed.
Pants must also be predominantly white.
For clarification and approval of clothing, a sample should be approved by the Executive Body of the SCA.
Bonus Points System for the 20-Overs competition.
Batting.
150 to 174 runs: One (1) Bonus Point 175 to 199 runs: Two (2) Bonus Points More than 199 runs: Three (3) Bonus Points.
Bowling.
Bowling out opposition One (1) Bonus Point Bowling out Opposition For less than Sixty (60) runs or less. One (1) Bonus Points. Total of Two (2) Points.
