Joint Man of the Match: AKBER HUSSAIN AND RAHUL RAIKWAR. A short rain break at 34th over of Canterbury inning shortened the game to 48-over each inning. CCC won the toss and decided to bat in a very hot/humid/cloudy conditions. CCC inning was off to a great start and were 125 for 1 at one stage only in 16 overs with Akber playing an aggressive inning.. However, couple of quick wickets put BHCC back in the game as CCC soon found them 150 for 6 down. CCC changed gears and slowly build the late order partnerships to push score past 200 runs and then changed gears once more in the last 10 overs to attain 250 runs and were all out on the last ball of their alloted 48 over. CCC Batting stars were Akber 71, Kamran 52. and Haris 43, where BHCC bowling star was G. Francis with 4 economical wkts. BHCC response was also competitive initially with their upper order scoring 5 runs per over for first 5-7 overs but then lost quick wickets to CCC bowlers (Rahul and Imran) and found them 106 for 7 down, with Vernon J being the top scorer 42 runs. Shane and Suranjan built a partnership in quick time to push score to 160 but BHCC folded on 169 as soon as they got out. Rahul Raikwar took 4 wkts and Imran chipped in with 3 wkts. BHCC batting stars were V. John 42, Shane 28, Suranjan 24, where CCC bowling stars were Rahul 4 wkts and Imran 3 wkts.
