OVCC Team Code of Conduct & Responsibilities
- I will conduct myself in a sportsmanlike manner on the field and during practise sessions.
- I will not engage in any behaviour contrary to the spirit of the game which would bring disrepute to my team or OVCC.
- I will participate actively in team building sessions organized by the Captain and Team Manager.
- I will demonstrate a positive attitude towards my team-mates and Captain.
- I will use English, to the best of my ability, as the primary language of communication during the games, practises and any team activities off the field.
- I will stay in the hotel reserved by the Team Manager for the duration of the trip (Away games only).
- I will attend all Team Breakfast meetings at the team hotel prior to departure (Away games only).
- I will abide by the night curfew imposed by the Captain and Team Manager (Away Games only).
- By making myself available for OVCC selection, I am also making myself available for the mandatory practise session that will held on the Thursday before the OVCC Games weekend.
- I will conduct myself in a manner befitting the role of the leader of the team and lead by example.
- I will strive to create a healthy and nurturing team atmosphere.
- I will inform team clearly and with sufficient notice of all team meetings and practise sessions.
- I will treat all players fairly.
- I will inform players of the timings of the breakfast meeting and night curfew.
- I will ensure team discipline by communicating to all players clearly of what is expected of them.
- I will conduct myself in a manner befitting the role of the leader of the team and lead by example.
- I will strive to create a healthy and nurturing team atmosphere.
- I will support the Captain in maintaining team discipline.
- I will assist the Captain in running Team Practise sessions.
- I will take charge of the team during the absence of the Captain.
- I will make all arrangements for logistics surrounding the transportation of the team.
- I will make all arrangements for hotel stay for the team. I will make best efforts to ensure that the hotel bookings for the entire team is in the same hotel.
- I will organize the team practise on the Thursday prior to the OVCC games weekend.
- I will communicate all timings to the team for scheduled departures and meeting points.
- I will ensure that the team has sufficient refreshments during the games.
- I will support the Captain in ensuring discipline in the team.
