A very tight game between 2 great bowling sides ending with STCC B handing Oakville B their first loss of the season. On a cold and windy day at NCC, Oakville won the toss and batted first. Zeshan produced some agressive quick bowling without any luck, Neil Ali bowling from the other end taking 3 wickets for 20 runs, after a solid start Oakville were reduced from 27-1 to 48-5 at one point. Captain Niaz scoring 24 valuable runs to post a total of 88 all out in 30.2 overs.
STCC innings struggled in a similar manner at one point STCC were 25-5, with some exceptionally tight bowling notibly from Zain who bowled 6 overs for only 5 runs. The fall of the 5 wicket brought Zeshan to the crease who along with Neil Ali took the score from 24-5 to 80-5 when Neil was forced to retire hurt. Zeshan hitting his second 6 to win the game for STCC.
A great competetive game made more difficult by the windy conditions and excessive appealing from the away team.
