St. Catharines arrived on time for their home game in Hamilton but had most of its players involved in laying the MAT atChurchil Park (completed at 12:45 for 1:00pm start) but only had 6 players "dressed" in yellow uniform so umpire gave the Toss to Hamilton who claimed it and decided to bat first. A strong batting line up with a strong start was obereved and gave Hamilton a flying start of an 85 runs partnership by Damien Holder and Ayaz Ali. Both played with relative ease to the attack of Tawab Ikram while hitting him all over the park at their free will. However Nasir Mahmood provided the well needed break through to the TOP order of Hamilton with help from Zeshan Arshad, Asutin Codrington and Saad Durani. At the end Tawab Ikram was brought back to clean up the Tale ender batsmen. Hamilton were all out for only 222, considered a fairly modest score on the fast outfield of Churchil Park on flat and true batting wicket. STC were very confident of chasing the low scoring total of 222. However weather and nature had different plans. The games was called off and finally abandoned due to continous rain fall....without STC playing even a single ball.
