T&DCA conceded Sunday's game against CCCAT in the Norman Jackson.s Memorial Quadrangular . Only 7 players for T&DCA were present at the ground and refused to play. The umpires callled the game at 1.15 pm and CCCAT claimed the default. Mr. Rashid Enshan , a T&DCA Official accompanying the team , apologized for refusal to toss with seven players.

NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING . DATE: April 18TH, 2010 WHERE: 40 Nor-finch Drive, Community Room, 31 Division of Metro Police TIME: Registration 1.45pm. Meeting 2:00pm to 4:00pm Sharp A General meeting is hereby called for the purpose of reporting on 2009 season and advancing the final preparation for the 2010 season. It is imperative that all clubs be represented at this meeting in order to finalize the composition of the Divisions. The new club/team registration forms would now have to be mandatory signed by the club/ team Treasurer and either one other person such as the President or the Captain. All teams must pay a minimum of 50% of their league fees at this meeting in-order to be placed on the 2010 fixtures. Any club/ team that are in arrears of their 2009 fees must settle their respective account at this meeting before acceptance into the 2010 season. On behalf of CCCAT Executives, member clubs and umpires, I extend my profound condolences to the family , friends and Malton Cricket Club on the passing of Norman Jackson. Norman served cricket for over 25 years as a dedicated and committed volunteer to the sport.As a player he would be remembered for the many good innings for his team and his great sportsmanship. As an administrator , Norman demonstrated true leadership and his unselfish contribution to the developement of cricket is indeed his legacy. We will all miss this good and dedicated servant of the game. God Bless his Soul and may he rest in peace.

All Playoff teams Captains MUST attend this important meeting on THURSDAY SEPT/24 @ Driftwood Community Centre at Driftwood and Jane , just opposite the Brookview Field on the southside of Driftwood Avenue, from 6.00pm to 8.30pm. The captains would have the opportunity to challenge the "Qualified Players List" on a one to one basis. At the same time the rules and other pertinent information will be addressed for the playoffs. ANY TEAMS in arrears of their 2009 league fees MUST PAY UP in full at this meeting or they will be dropped from the playoffs .

1. The times for the playoff games will be as follows ---- TOSS ---- 11:20 am Team Batting First 11:30 --- 3:00 pm Lunch Interval 3:00 --- 3:30 pm Team Batting Second 3:30 --- 7:00 pm 2. Only players on the approved list will be allowed to participate. The Elite Division Coordinator will be sending out the final lists (as approved by the Captains last night).All players MUST have valid photo ID, and must submit this to the umpires for verification, if requested by the opposing team's Captain. 3. For Elite and Premier, all players must be in full team uniform and batsmen must be in coloured pads. The wicketkeeper will be the only person that will be allowed to use non-coloured pads (when keeping). First and Second division players must be in approved uniforms (see by-laws). 4. Only approved balls will be allowed (see by-laws for the approved balls). 5. All umpires must be dressed accordingly--- Elite & Premier --- Dark pants/dark blue shirt. First & Second --- Dark pants/white coat OR dark pants/blue shirt. (Umpires are asked to be at the ground by 11:00 am.).

Any team that has not fully paid up their league fees by their last regular season game will not be allowed to participate in the playoffs -- if they should qualify. The next fully paid-up team will be allowed to qualify. Fees can be paid in cash or cheque (no post-dated cheque). Payment can be given to the umpires, if there are no league official present. In case teams with equal points , Tie breaker rules will apply in following order. 1. Head to head record? if still tied, 2. Most number of wins? if still tied, 3. Least number of losses? if still tied, 4. Net Run Rate -- for the regular season.
