2008-08-08 BCMCL Weekday Twenty-20 Semi Finals
The first semi final between the Surrey Juniors led by Dilpreet Dhillon and All Stars XI led by Param Kaler was a great outing for all players and spectators. All Stars XI were clear favourites with names like Jimmy Hansra, Jawad Dawood, Hussain Dawood, Imran Khan in their team. This team was true to its name where it had all the stars of cricketers in lower mainland.
But the Surrey Juniors had other plans in mind with the experience of the BCMCL president Vimal Hardat, only senior member in the team, Juniors beat Stars XI convincingly by 3 wickets.
The second semi final was played between White Rock Hawks and Delta Cougars. Another great encounter that saw Hawks beat Cougars in an exciting match.

2008-07-17 Weekday Twenty/20 Report
The BCMCL's weekday twenty-20 is going great guns with over 100 spectators in each game. The Surrey Juniors team came victorious against Fleetwood Lions last week with making a massive score of 194 runs. This weekday twenty-20 league is not only bringing the kids from schools from undesired activities to sports field. After the success of this new league Sajid Hameed and Ashraf Muhammad have taken the mantle of making another Twenty-20 format with only juniors of the entire Lower Mainland. This will help youth development in the game of cricket and further camps will be arranged for the young cricketers.

What a day of cricket when BCMCL had its historic club six-a-side at Upper Brockton on July 01, 2008. Congratulations to Abbotsford CC for being the champions and West Vancouver CC for the runners up. 2008-07-01 Junior Six-A-Side
BCMCL held its historical Junior six-a-side with weather not in cricket's favor. Despite of the rain it did not stop our talented juniors from having a great tournament at the Stanley Park. We saw some great display of hard hitting and sensible bowling from the BCMCL juniors. We would like to thank Salim Mohammad and Hardeep Ghuman for organizing the event with such success. Special thanks to Jim Richards and Mumtaz Khan for their involvement in scoring and umpiring.

Abbotsford Juniors were the Champions and West Vancouver Juniors were the runners up. Sunny Gainder was the best batsman and Satnam Randhawa had the highest number of sixes. [Photos]

2008-06-13 Use Of Parks
The Parks Board is committed to providing the cricketers of Lower Mainland with quality park and recreational opportunities in a safe, healthy and enjoyable environment. To fulfill this commitment they have instilled a lot of faith in the British Columbia Mainland Cricket League who have further given this ground to its responsible members. The Code simply requires that members of the BCMCL must conduct themselves in a rational and reasonable manner, in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Park Board of each municipality. We play cricket that is quite rightly called a gentleman's game and we should be very careful in maintaining the trust that the Parks board of different municipality has kept with the BCMCL for almost 100 years.
Here is the link to parks policy in details.
