	<title><![CDATA[BCL Umpiring Sessions]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<br>BCL is pleased to offer umpiring sessions and refresher courses to all of our umpires. Due to the increased need (2 umpires for every game in the league), we are also looking for young and talented members to step forward and get certified as umpires. </br>

<br>This course will be held on 2 days <b>(Wed, July 14 & Wed, July 21) at the Brampton Soccer Centre, from 6pm-9pm, Room # 2.</b> </br>

<br>There is no fee for this course. All interested members must send an e-mail to our umpiring coordinator at steve@bramptoncricketleague.ca, to confirm their attendance.</br>]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[<br>BCL Management would like to congratulate Mohd. Awais of Premier CC <i>(www.premiercricketclub.com)</i>, for the first century of 2010. Awais made 117 runs in 104 balls hitting 11 4s and 7 6s, against Georgetown Cricket Club helping Premier CC win the match by 89 runs. </br> <br>Because of his maiden century Awais will be gifted a brand new cricket bat, courtesy of <u>Khan Sports!</u></br>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[Ontario Cricket Elite Championship]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<br>Brampton Cricket League has been invited to participate in the upcoming Ontario Cricket Association's Elite Tournament. 10 leagues from all across Ontario will participate in this tournament and BCL will be presenting a team. Player selection will be based on 2009-2010 stats and we will be selecting players from Div 1 teams only. </br>

<br><b>ODI:</b> Kookabura Club Match or Regulation (4 Piece), self purchase.
<br><b>T25:</b> BCL provided league balls (4 piece) for $25.
<br><b>T20:</b> BCL provided league balls (4 piece) for $25.</br>

<br>Balls can be purchased individually or in quantity of 6 at a time. </br>
<br>Umpire Fees for the season is as follows:</br>

<br><b>ODI:</b> $40 per team, per umpire.

	<title><![CDATA[ICC Global Cricket Academy]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<br>The ICC Global Cricket Academy in partnership with Ontario Cricket Association will be conducting a week long training camp for top Ontario cricketers from March 30th until April 5 for this year. The program will be held in Toronto and the training camp will be facilitated by Mr. Rodney Marsh, (former test player from Australia) and Mr. Mudassar Nazar, (former test player from Pakistan), Director and Head Coach respectively, of the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai. A total of 40 to 45 top cricketers from across Ontario will be offered the first opportunity to participate in this program.</br>

<br>The program will focus on improving: batting, bowling, fielding skills, physical fitness, mental preparedness & technical analysis. This unique and first ever training camp of this kind will be offered through the OCA member leagues to cricketers who are the best prospects to represent Canada in the near future. Selected players will be required to undergo a videotaping which will be sent to Dubai for pre-analysis. 	<description><![CDATA[<br>Congratulations to <b>Island Boyz Cricket Club</b> for winning the inaugural BCL final. Both Island Boyz CC and Challengers CC put up a great fight but in the end the better team hosted the <b> inaugural trophy and the award chq of $2000.</b> </br>

<br>On behalf of the management, officials and teams we wish to thank everyone for a wonderful season and a great end to the start of a new beginning on Cricket in Brampton. </br>

BCL, a not-for-profit association, was established in 2008. Our mission is to establish, nourish and nurture cricket in the great city of Brampton and the region of Peel. 

We are the only official body of cricket in the City of Brampton that has the provision to promote eligible players to the highest level, including provincial and national Team.  

BCL prides itself in offering all sorts of cricket: 50 over (ODIs), T20s-T25s and test matche. Our players range from 10 years to 45 years and come from all ethnic backgrounds. 

Through this website, we hope to provide all of our visitors, clubs and players with up to date and accurate information.
